Al-Qaeda Supporter Inside U.S. Uses Site to Incite Violence Against American Interests

On the heels of a very similar story in Belgium last week that we wrote about, a U.S. based supporter of al-Qaeda and Islamofascism is using his web site to support, motivate and inspire attacks against the West.
Here’s the story as reported by FoxNews.com:
But one local resident has shattered that image, calling for the death of American troops in Iraq and supporting Al Qaeda through his Web site, which he reportedly runs from his parents’ home.
Samir Khan is the man behind Revolution.Muslimpad.com — a radical Islamic site that praises Usama bin Laden and asks for Allah to “curse more American soldiers.”
The site posts videos of U.S. Humvees being blown up by roadside bombs in Iraq. It aims to inspire young Muslims to wage war against the West.
Samir Khan: if this country is so bad and your seething hatred is such that you support and call for the killing of American soldiers, then why don’t you get the hell out of here? You won’t because you enjoy the freedoms that you have over here; you enjoy getting a college education in America.
But what interests me here is not why Khan chooses to stay here, it’s why he is allowed to stay here without facing criminal charges.
Is it really free speech when you’re helping to incite violence against American soldiers? I think not; and apparently I’m not the only one:
But Jarret Brachman, director of research at West Point’s Center for Combatting Terrorism, said Khan’s call for violence takes his anti-American views one step further.
“To be unhappy with U.S. foreign policy is one thing, but to advocate violence by promoting Al Qaeda is another,” he said.
“This is the most sophisticated and aggressive Web site in English that really puts out bin Laden’s ideology and the message that’s promoted by Al Qaeda,” he added.
Brachman said Khan’s site “raises the threshold for what it means to be a good, pro-Al Qaeda Web site” and is “the best in English.”
At another point in time in this country’s history what Khan is doing would be considered treason or sedition and I would venture to guess that this is exactly the type of behavior that Rep. Sue Myrick is referring to when she calls for:
Introduce a bill to make the preaching, publication, or distribution of materials that call for the death of American citizens, attacks on the United States Government or Armed Forces, or the financing of the means and/or operations to accomplish these acts, acts of sedition and/or solicitation of treason.
You know it really is one thing to disagree with our policies or politicians–that’s protected speech–it’s quite another to actively support and aid the enemy by attempting to incite violence against American interests.
So you can take the free speech argument and…….well, you know what you can do with it.
