Looks like Italy has had enough of its illegal immigration problem, and unlike many in our government, its doing something about it and making a statement at the same time:
Italy’s center-right government defended itself Sunday from criticism of a so-called state of emergency enacted this week to crack down on illegal immigration.
The government extended measures already in place in the southern regions of Puglia, Sicily and Calabria to the whole country Friday. The measures give authorities the ability to more easily overcome bureaucracy, for example, to set up new immigrant detention centers.
Political opponents and human rights groups have criticized the government in recent months, saying some of the measures are xenophobic and anti-immigrant — including plans to fingerprint Roma, or Gypsies.
Apparently the conservative politicians are in Italy.
I have an idea for these so-called human rights groups: focus on the Islamofascists’ treatment of women and children. You want some serious human rights violations? Check there. Oh, but it would be politically incorrect and a misunderstanding of Islam to crack down on the their violations, right?
They hypocrisy of these human and women’s rights groups.
Italy has the right idea on this illegal immigration issue. If you get serious about it you can actually gets some things done.
