Gov. Huntsman (R-UT): GOP Leadership “Inconsequential”
We finally have a Republican official willing to criticize congressional GOP leadership. In an interview with The Washington Times Utah Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. said:
I don’t even know the congressional leadership. I have not met them. I don’t listen or read whatever it is they say because it is inconsequential – completely.
He’s spot on, and actually, I’d take it step further and argue that Senate Minority so-called Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority so-called Leader John Boehner are incompetent.
Think about this: what is the last piece of conservative legislation or program that either one of these “leaders” has proposed?
As an example of their lack of leadership, Who is leading the charge against the so-called Fairness Doctrine? Is it McConnell? Boehner?
Nope. It’s Rep. Mike Pence in the House and Senator Jim DeMint in the Senate. The revival of the so-called Fairness Doctrine ought to be an issue the GOP leadership leadsthe opposition on.
I know that Gov. Huntsman has agreed to take the Porkulus money but that doesn’t render him incorrect in his criticism of GOP leadership.
And don’t come to me with the House GOP’s united opposition to Porkulus. That’s not enough to get Boehner off the hook.
The bottom line is that GOP congressional leadership is lacking precisely that–leadership.

Well you could start with the economic plan Boner promoted against Obama’s stimulus. And Pence is part of the GOP leadership, on which he and Boehner BOTH have been fighting the Fairness Doctrine. This post just seems a little needless. What do you consider “leadership?” Appearing on TV as much as possible?
