Taliban Threatens ‘Amazing’ Attack in Washington

The commander of the Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility Tuesday for a deadly assault on a Pakistani police academy and said the group was planning a terrorist attack on the White House that would “amaze” the world.
Baitullah Mehsud, who has a $5 million bounty on his head from the U.S., said Monday’s attack on the outskirts of the eastern city of Lahore was retaliation for U.S. missile strikes against militants along the Afghan border.
“Soon we will launch an attack in Washington that will amaze everyone in the world,” Mehsud told The Associated Press by phone. He provided no details.
Where is Fareed Zakaria now? Hmm? Zakaria has been writing and speaking on his television show about how the Taliban really do not seek to attack the United States or its interests. He suggests that we differentiate between the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
I wonder what he has to say about this threat from the Taliban.
Meanwhile, this is just another piece of evidence proving my argument that the War on Islamofascism is centered in Pakistan.

This is devastating news. I remember the comments of Fareed on cnn in regard to the Taliban. Not entirely wrong when you do have some Taliban groups becoming more open to talks and moderate to their government. You still have those insists that bloodshed in necessary. In any case, reading the statement, ‘Monday’s attack on the outskirts of the eastern city of Lahore was retaliation for U.S. missile strikes against militants along the Afghan border’, who is NOT dangerous when provoked.
These are not people(civilians and militants) that we can when over with our muscle.. I’m sorry but they will not stop fighting until all ‘invaders’ are pulled out their land. This is a complex puzzle that needs to be worked and figured out.
